About Me

I first started working with teens and young adults when I worked  in Kings Cross (Sydney) with the Salvation Army, supporting young people through homelessness, drug dependency and the sex industry. This sparked a passion in me to work with young people, I came back to NZ and completed a diploma in Violence and Trauma Studies, designed and ran a number of courses around youth and trauma and continued study in Psychology and Social Sciences.

I have worked with what used to be Child, Youth and Family as a Supervised Access Co-ordinator and have run the supervised access coordination service for the Napier Family Service Centre before I had my children.

I have studied Social Work and Counselling and am currently studying towards ADHD Coaching.  I am running a Kidz2Drive program with the Nelson Car Club and I have been involved with many youth and community Not-for-Profit organisations throughout the last 20 years as my children have been growing up.
